As a child traveling the Autralian Countryside with an irish gypsy father little did i realise that these magical adventures would be the foundations for my song writing .After performing solo Acoustic for many years around country victoria Rod Davitt thought it was time for his songs to grow 2003 saw the birth of Monkeytin .Ther first Home recorded 4 track cd was all it took to open the doors to popular Melbourne venues ,The espy ,the Pony ,The dan Oconnell , 04 and 05 saw Monkeytin performing all over country victoria and south Australia including Bigger shows in Adelaide and Melbourne sharing the stage with bands like The Cops ,Zinc ,Diesle,Gabriels Day .2006 has seen Rod relocate closer to Melbourne and with new members Dude Broctron on Drums .the Guv on bass the've hit the studio to record ther Debut album .with regular performances at the Rob Roy, theEspy .the Noise bar,Karova lounge and repeat shows at the Famous Hardrock cafe 2007 is set to be a big one for Monkeytin.
